>From Tuesday 11 - Friday 14 April 1999 I'll be working at sites in the
Barmah Forest near Echuca in Victoria. I need at least one volunteer to
help me collect foraging data on birds at 7 study sites in the forest.
The study being conducted by Ralph Mac Nally of Ecology/Biological
Sciences at Monash University, is looking at the significance of coarse
woody debris (CWD) for biodiversity in Murray River forests at Gunbower,
Barmah and Lower Ovens.
INCENTIVES:
A. Free transport from/to Melbourne or nearby to/from study site;
B. My scintillating culinary offerings - also free; and
C. Great riverine forest birds including Superb Parrots.
WHAT I NEED FROM YOU:
D. You should be competent at identifying woodland birds, acoustically
& visually;
E. You should be capable of periods of concentrated data collecting &
recording in the field (60 minutes of looking & writing at a time);
F. You should be reasonably fit and up to spending about 3-4 nights
camped in the field.
If any of this describes you, or someone you know of, please contact me
as below - and ASAP!!
Cheers
