Hi gang... Lorne here... How's this for coincidence?????? Last night I wrote a scene in the novel I'm writing, where my birdwatching character, Drongo, sees a Papuan Harrier near Abbatoir Swamp, which isn't far from Mount Molloy!!!!!!!!! Drongo, obsessed/distracted/off the air, nearly crashes his car into a tree when he sees the raptor, and runs onto the Rex Highway, binocs drawn. He doesn't see the truck carting sugar cane, bearing down on him at 130km an hour... He sidesteps it just in time... Later, overcome by the siting/tick, he gets very drunk at Kingfisher Park and dances around in the orhcard there!!!!!!! Thanks for listening, LGJ.
