On a trip to SW Western Australia in January 1998 I saw signs 'owl' signs
on one of the freeways running east-west out of Perth similar to the koala
signs in Redland Shire.  Perhaps we should start writing to local councils
who have (I believe) taken over responsibility for environmental management
from the State government.
