birding-aus The population of Glossy Black Cockatoos that occurs in the Riverina of NSW (Narrandera, Griffith, Cocaparra Ranges and adjoining areas) has been nominated for listing as an endangered population under the NSW Threatened Species Conservation Act. The Scientific Committee that assesse these nominations has made a Preliminary Determination to list the population. The reasons for listing can be viewed at http://www.npws.nsw.gov.au/news/tscdets/p990219a.htm Submissions on the Preliminary Determination are invited (both for and against) and should be sent to the Executive Officer of the Scientific Committee, Sue Chate at Mike Fleming NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service To unsubscribe from this list, please send a message to Include "unsubscribe birding-aus" in the message body (without the quotes) |
