You have to be very determined and adaptable. If you really want to do something, find a way, and go for it! I heard a story once about a woman in her 40s who had a family, and she did year 12 with very good results. She applied to do Law and was accepted. She then started to worry about how she would manage, and told her children she had decided not to go on because she would be 50 before she finished. One of her children retorted, "Well you'll be 50 anyway. Would you rather be 50 with a degree or without one?" That was enough, and she went ahead, did the degree and is now a practising lawyer and loving it. Merrilyn |
