Peter,

Princess Parrot - The only almost certain way of seeing them is a trip on
the Canning Stock Route with any tour company going there (don't go on your
own). They are fairly reliable between about Wells 36 and 42, and
especially near Lake Tobin.

Golden-shouldered Parrot - You need to go to the southern part of Cape York.
The easiest way is to go with a guide (e.g. Klaus Uhlenhut, Andy Anderson,
Del Richards, etc from Cairns) or to the Lotus Lodge.

Bourke's Parrot - I have found them very easy to find on Nallan Station
(about 650km NE of Perth) in WA. See my WA web pages for details.

Budgerigar - I can't believe that you haven't seen this!!! I have seen them
on Nallan Station. They can be very common along the Great Northern Highway
from Broome to Kununurra. Alice Springs should be a very good chance.

Ground Parrot - The most certain place is near Strachan in Tasmania in low
heath. The Barren Grounds Bird Observatory in NSW near Wollongong is a very
good chance but you should allow two days. They can be found on Wilson's
Promontory in Victoria but I don't have precise directions.

Night Parrot - Extinct? Maybe not. There are unconfirmed reports from many
places. The Tanami Track near Rabbit Flat between Halls Creek and Alice
Springs could be as good as any place to look.

Good luck
