Hi all I have enjoyed reading everyone's favourites and just wanted add mine - as someone has previously mentioned, and I agree, it's not just the bird but the circumstances of the encounter. I'd have to say my favourites are because some of them are the first birds I ever identified as a 'fledgeling' birder, in my backyard or on local birding bushwalks (Aust born and bred incidentally) which was quite exciting at the time and still a vivid memory. 1.Scarlet Honeyeater 2.Spangled Drongo 3.Figbird 4.Red-backed Fairy-wren 5.Grey Fantail 6.Rose Robin 7.Dollarbird 8.Forest Kingfisher 9.Australian King Parrot 10.Pale-headed Rosella Karen Robinson Chapel Hill, Brisbane |
