A full list of birds recorded in the Stirling Range National Park can be

(follow the link to Stirling Range National Park). This list is based on a
chapter written by Allan Rose and myself for the book 'Mountains of Mystery.
A Natural History of the Stirling Range' edited by C. Thomson, G. Hall and
G. Friend, and published by CALM, Perth. Allan Rose is a Birds Australia
member and was a park ranger at the Stirlings for a number of years. The
chapter in the book includes suggestions on places to see birds, plus lots
of other information (including historical) about the birds of the park. If
your local bookstore doesn't have it, your local library should be able to
get a copy in.
There are a couple of places in the park where you can camp, but the
facilities don't extend much beyond toilets and fireplaces. I suggest you
take up Frank O'Connor's hint concerning the caravan park. The caravan
park/camping ground is also a good spot to see lots of birds eg Rufous
Treecreeper, as they have retained a lot of native vegetation.
