Russell -

There was an article in Wingspan about corvid ID, reference as follows:

Debus, Stephen. (1995). Bird Identification: Crows and Ravens: Crow or
raven? Distribution. Appearance and age characters. Voice. Behaviour. Flight
characteristics. Ecology. Unresolved taxonomic problems. Foreign species.
Acknowledgments. Further reading. (Illustrated by Nicolas Day, with photos
by Graeme Chapman). Wingspan 5/4: 38-42.

With the new Atlas project coming up it might be a good idea to reprint the
article in the Atlas newsletter when it gets going, mentioning any possible
distribution changes or new twists on identification for people (like me)who
are not confident about field ID.

Cheers, Hugo.
