Julian I feel that one combined group with autonomous branches, like the BOCs, and interest groups attached, like the Wade Study group, to get the most capable people in an effective position in the Australian pool rather than the district one. Birds Australia via BIGNET in NSW has posed the question and there is some interest but unfortunately they can't get a dialogue going with BOCA, the other big player.
