Ron,
I will send you a full list of my 220 plus birs (including 78 new
birds) I saw during my stay at Kingfisher Park from 9th October to 21st
October. The following are some of my highlights which you may want to
put on the internet.

* Great billed Heron - pair on nest , Daintree River
* Asian Dowitcher - 1 on  Esplanade
* chestnut -breasted Cuckoo - 1 an Julatten.
* Buff-breasted Paradise Kingfishers - pair at Mt Whitfield
*Lesser Sooty Owl 1 - Kingfisher Park
*Large -tailed Nightjar 2 - Kingfisher Park
papuan Frogmouth 1 - Kingfisher Park
*White -browed Robin - pair at Big Mitchell Creek
*Pied Monarch - pair at Kingfisher Park
Black-throated Finch - Mt Carbine (20 birds)
*Victoria?s Riflebird - pair courting and mating at Lake Barrine N.P.
*Superb Fruit Dove - male at Mt Lewis.
* Little Kingfisher - one at Daintree Village

I had a great time during these 2 weeks and enjoyed very much my stay
at Kingfisher Park. I do miss waking up to the calls of the Rainforest
birds, seeing the Bandicoots around the park at night and that Cape York
rat sticking his head out of that hollow by the shed.

I will definately come again when the next opportunity arises. I hope
not too far.
Thank you once again.

P.S. (2) Red necked Crakes are appearing nightly at Kingfisher Park.
Cheers for now, Ron Stannard
