The house I lived in last year boasted a species list of about 30. The best of these was Pacific Baza (perched in a tree), Red-chested Button-quail, Silver-crowned Friarbird, and Pheasant Coucal. The house is in suburban Townsville. A friend of mine claims 66 species with Brahminy Kites nesting in her backyard, but she lives closer to the poutskirts of town. She has a friend who claims 90 species, but I haven't met her. Rafael ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// |
