the commonest rosella is the Adelaide rosella (or however it's
classified these days). But in Adelaide city itself and in the
parklands around the central square mile, Eastern rosellas are
far more common. This has been the case for the thirty years I
have lived here and Forshaw and Cooper have Adelaide and
surrounds marked in on their distribution map for the Eastern
rosella, from memory as an allopatric population.
The Eastern rosellas of Adelaide are presumably originally from
an escapee flock. Is this an example of the same dilemma?
