[ts-7000] ts7800 DIO output only outputs at 50 Hz

Please keep in mind that I am fairly new to using the ts7800, but I am trying 
to drive a speaker with a square wave outputted from one of the pins on the DIO 
header. The problem is that the board seems to only toggle pin values at a 
maximum frequency of 50 Hz. Is there a way to output at a higher rate?

Any help is very much appreciated.
