Hello,
I have an 7260 with RTC. Very first time, I set the kernel clock using
the date command 'date -u etc.. then I set the hw clock from the kernel
time. I did this only once.
In my linuxrc file, I set the kernel clock from the hardware clock.
Since the below statements are in the linuxrc file, the kernel clock
gets updated every time it boots up.
---
hwclockfirst.sh stop
hwclockfirst.sh start
---
I have a cron job that puts the 7260 in sleep (it has a ts-bat3
connected) and wakes up every hour, does some sensor recording and goes
back to sleep.
Here is the problem... the kernel date seems to jump at 'midnight' and
at 'noon'. I do not think this is a hardware problem as the the jumps in
date and time is always to the hour. Also, the jumps revert back at
'noon' to the correct date. There is a pattern and I am unable to figure
it out. Below is output from each wake time... Any thoughts, suggestions
appreciated...
01/30/11 06:08 (correct date and time)
01/30/11 07:08 (correct again...)
01/30/11 08:08 (correct again...)
