Hi all,

I have figured the patch out and got a compiled redboot.bin with enabled eeprom_write. Now, my problem is that I can not write the bootrom and redboot into the flash. The error information is as follows:

RedBoot> fis write -f 0x60000000 -b 0x00200000 -l 0x20000
Invalid FLASH address 0x60000000: FLASH sub-system not initialized
valid range is 0x00000000 - 0x00000000

I tried to initialize the flash by "fis init -f", but the process seems to be no response for a long time after â*** Initialize FLASH Image Systemâ. Does anybody ever see this problem? I am not sure about the reason. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

Best Regards,
Xiang Lu

Hi Petr,

I tried your redboot.bin, which is the one in the serial blaster folder. I can not get a redboot prompt using that redboot. I guess that is because the configuration of my TS7250, which holds a 128M flash and a 64M RAM. I can get redboot prompt if I change the redboot.bin to the one provided from the ftp site of TS. But TS's redboot disables eeprom commands. Then, what should I do next? Manually patch the file "redboot_ts7250_eeprom.diff"? Thank you so much for your reply.

Best Regards,
Xiang Lu

Well, looks like that TS made some changes to the code :-) You will need to
inspect the reject and rebase the patch.

I think, that I've used this redboot[1] in the past to recover my board. But
I'm not 100% sure :-)
