[ts-7000] Problems getting into RedBoot

I'm working with minicom into a TS-7260 board, and I try various combinations 
of [Ctrl]-C at boot up in order to exit into RedBoot (holding both keys down at 
power up, waiting until I see the + sign and hitting both keys, hitting both 
keys several times during boot up, etc.), but the boot procedure just keeps on 
going without ever exiting into RedBoot.  Can someone tell me what I'm not 
doing right?
