I'm new to the 7350 and have a question regarding gps locking (or lack of). We
are using the gpsd software (gpsd/gpspipe) to get lat/long location. We have
tried two different gps units via usb. The latest being the garmin 18. For an
older gps unit, we get sporadic locking and readings that are usually good when
locked. For the garmin 18, we have been unable to lock at all. The gpsd
software that I did an apt-get for, is version 2.33. I read that prior to
version 2.39 a driver had to be installed to get this working. However, I
downloaded and built version 2.94 gpsd. I still get no lock (and it pegs the
CPU usage).

As a note, we've connected the gps units to a Ubuntu laptop and have no issues
locking on. However, we need this to run on the 7350.

Does anyone have some insight/hints to get gps locking consistently from the
7350? Or maybe a preferred gps usb unit that works well with the board? Any
help is appreciated.

Thank you.
