Hi,

I went through some posts giving instructions to compile linux kernel 2.6 for
TS-7260 but all of them are for NFS as root file system.

I want to compile kernel 2.6 to boot from SD card and also the Debian Root file
system in SD card. I have downloaded the 2.6SDImage from TS website but the
kernel and RFS packaged in image gives me problem with USB devices. So i
compiled a new kernel from TS Linux kernel 2.6 source code but when i boot i
get Error of "Kernel Panic: Attempted to Kill init" and "Unable to open
Console".

What boot option should i use in make menuconfig. (My current boot option is :
console=ttyAM0,115200 init=/bin/sh root=/dev/ram0 )

Also i get error in "make" when i select SD card support in Make menuconfig.
Error: drivers/mmc/tssdcard.c:57:22: tssdcore.c: No such file or directory

How do i create a SD Card Debian root file system for TS 7260?

The steps i followed to compile and boot linux kernel 2.6 is as follows:
1. Make ts72xx_defconfig
2.make menuconfig
3. make
4. then i downloaded the 2.6SD Image and did bzcat and dd to SD card.
5. Then i copied zImage(the one i compiled) to mmcblk0p1 (first partition) of
my SD card.
6. I tried to boot ts 7260 using SD card.

Any instructions or pointers to instructions page would be really great.
Plz help.

Ashwin S Raut.
