Yes, we've already had the IAR PowerPac suite (RTOS/TCP/USB/FILING) happily
working on the TS-7200. The only thing we needed to do was to include some
extra library files in the project and modify some of the low level hardware
related functions. All quite straightforward.
Even though I have little Linux experience I have plenty of low level Windows
and RTOS/firmware experience, so dealing with things like memory managers and
device drivers is straightforward to me.
But perhaps I should learn more about Linux itself before just plugging in a
bought-in piece of software. Perhaps play with Eclipse. I got a ts-7800 board
somewhere, plus the SD card that comes with it.
I also have "Embedded Linux" by Christopher Hallinan gathering dust on the
shelf, which I never read. Perhaps this is a good time now!
(Any other books you may recommend?)
