Busybox is enough for me too, that's actually what I have on the onboard flash
along with a few libs. But how do you save data? I need to write things in the
SD.
Matthew Harrell:
I don't quite understand what you meant with a "ramdisk overlay". You use ram
memory and every X time you change the SD to RW, save the changes and rechange
it to RO? That won't fix the problem if there's a power lost during this time.
Or maybe I just don't know how it works.
My application have a database and every minutes it save to disk. There's also
a list of other files who can get updated on user interaction. I think I could
save everything on flash, and use the SD as read only for the executable only,
but I might not have enough space on flash.
Also, what about YAFFS/JFFS? Is it only for flash memory? Can't do it on a SD
card or what? My flash is currently mounted as YAFFS2, I think it comes like
this from TS.
bburtan65:
Isn't that the default that comes from TS? A Debian-etch distribution on an
ext3 filesystem. Anyway, if you have to redo a card, this guide helped me:
