Sorry - I only read the mailing list intermittently so you might want to 
cc my email address to get a quicker response

How do I set up the SD card for ext3 or how do I do it using aufs also?
Without aufs the process is just like TS has on their site for the 7260.  I
just went in there and flashed my own kernel and initrd into Redboot and tell
it to use the SD card as root.  The initrd loads the module for the SD card
and then ensures things are set up to be mounted.  I haven't looked into
fastbooting from it but I would doubt you could simply because you need to 
load the SD card drivers and other things.  Maybe that's incorrect.
