Have you got hyper terminal configured right? I've never used it, but have
seen indications that it can be problematic. Try testing the hyper terminal
setup to some known good rs232 connection, but only connect rx/tx and
ground. Once you know hyper terminal is running/configured correctly you
know the problem is with your ts7400 setup.
