I can't help with the source code, but have you tried with /dev/mtd/1 instead?
I had to use the "regular" eraseall utility yesterday with a 7260, and it
worked fine with /dev/mtd/1 instead of the block device.
P.S. totally unrelated (and not to hijack the thread or anything), but figured
I better write this down for anyone who searches this list...if anyone out
there is using kernel 2.4 with yaffs2, be sure to get the latest kernel 2.4
tarball with the TS-7400 in the name and compile that kernel. It still has a
7260 defconfig, and the yaffs2 support in it is upgraded so that it has
checkpointing which means a practically nonexistent mount time compared to a
30+ second mount time I was seeing with the old version of the 2.4 kernel.
The new kernel was giving a weird error whenever I mounted the yaffs2, and
crashing on unmount, so that's why I did eraseall on the flash after changing
to the new kernel. Now everything works great.
