Hi,
my 7250 flash has just gone bad. Following a reboot it get this:
yaffs tragedy: no more eraased blocks
!!!!!!!!! Allocator out !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

then "normal" functioning proceeds as best it can.
I don't know why this happened. I have had not such errors in the past but had
noted yaffs2 getting VERY slow to mount as noted in a previous thread. (slow >=
90s)
I had intended to reboot without the console since I wanted to test something
on AM0, so I took off JP2 and rebooted. However , ssh was unable to connect and
it was unclear what state the board was in so I put JP2 back on rebooted.
Now I get this shit. Which looks like burn out. But why has this hit with no
warning?
I read somewhere that "jessoff" of TS had provided a means to reset the bad
blocks and that most of the boards that came back just needed the flash
clearing (it was not really burnt out flash).
Anyone know how to clear the bad blocks?
TIA.
