I am pretty certain there is no onboard antenna on the TS-GSM1. As one poster
noted, it's an MMCX connector.
If you are using a metal enclosure you will definitely need an external antenna
in any case.
I used some parts from RS:
326-8451 MMCX coax assembly
451-0848 GSM aerial
546-3153 SMA bulkhead jack.
