[ts-7000] RE: pppd versus AT commands

Anyone tried to connect 2 serial ports of the SonyEricson GSM modem (on TS-GSM1) and setup 1 port for PPPD and the other one for AT commands ?
Are 2 ports of the modem on TS-GSM1 connected to CPU board (TS-7300) ???
Or need to do modify boards ?

I have setup a pppd for the TS-GSM1.
Is it possible to send a specific AT command thru this pppd ?
Let say I want to have the signal strength of the TS-GSM1 after pppd is setup
Is there anyway to send AT command AT+CSQ ?
