Hi Peter,

Thanks very much for that. I am fairly new to this whole blitting thing but I'll have to do some research into it.

QT does provide a class that you can inherit to implement a custom driver where you can re implement blitting functionality. http://doc.trolltech.com/4.5/qt-embedded-accel.html

I'll have a look into this but if you have any hints, they'd be welcomed ;)

Thanks very much.

Regards,
Donal

Hi Donal,

The TS-7390 has built in bliting functions for moving rectangular regions on and between the eight available screen buffers. I use these capabilities to implement my graphics library, and although I don't do many animations, I've been happy with the CPU loading.

I'm not sure how these functions could be added to QT4.5 if they're not already being used - I was under the impression that the Linux frame buffer driver had been modified to use the functions.

If the blitting functions are not being used by QT4.5, possibly incorporating these functions where possible may lead to a speed increase.

PJE
