You might want to consider QT/Embedded as well as it's quite
simple to create GUI's with it.
Performance of QT/Embedded seems to be an issue when it comes to
rendering graphics however, but normal window applications seem fine.

Hi Jason,
Interesting application.
I ended up using my own graphics library for my 7300 and 7390 systems
as it gave me more control over how everything appeared, but a number
of people are using off-the-shelf toolkits with the 7390.

apologize in advance if I ask "obvious" questions. In the past, I have
done a lot with OpenBSD running from a CF card and a ramdisk (see the
flashboot project) but little outside of that. So while I plan to read
the archives and lurk for the next while, I do want to launch my boat
by mid-May so there may be some things I need help with.
