This is a FAQ. Please see here, and the surrounding thread:
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/ts-7000/message/12257
for an explanation why you see exactly 50Hz.
Unless porting eCos is easier than I think, a good approach would be
to use high resolution timers. Requires a 2.6 kernel (I suggest
2.6.24.7), and the linux-rt patch here:
http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/projects/rt/patch-2.6.24.7-rt27.bz2
[Seems that HRT for ep93xx was lost in the shuffle when the linux-rt
patch jumped from 2.6.24 to 2.6.26].
Or try the RT kernel delivered on the CD ... along with the
documentation as Jim mentioned.

< com> and he said that the sample rate is 925
Samples per second. But the adc code sample (taken from the group)
takes 20Sec to read 1000 ADC values. So the sample rate is roughly
50Hz. That is why I came to a conclusion that there is something
wrong. Going through the messages in the group I thought that I need
to install a realtime OS into the board. Thats why I seeked help from
you guys.

installation of this and if I load a real time OS given in the CD will
this help me to increase the sample rate?
