Before making the decision to switch, I'd suggest you try to improve the performance of
the OS it shipped with.
You should be able to improve performance considerably by
eliminating flash writes as much as possible.
First turn off system logging, or change to log to ramdisk. I think you'll see a large speed improvement.

Hey guys

Got Ctrl+C working. I changed the settings in minicom. Needed to adjust the hardware flow control. and CTRL+C worked fine. But still I am not aware of what is the OS that came with the board.

I used this for a ADC application and the sample rate was pretty slow. Thats why I thought I need a real time OS on to this. Reading some of the emails I understood that I will need to use eCos.

How can I install eCos? Will the ADC samples in the group work in this OS as well?

Please help me guys................ Please!!!

Though the manual says to press Ctrl+C redboot prompt never comes and
it always boots the linux in the flash.

I am using minicom and the serial cable (null) that I got from the
development kit.

Why is the reason for that?
