Hi Pierre Do you want to invoke pppd to make outbound connections, dialling out from your TS7300, or do you want to set up PPP on inbound connections, or both? For inbound connections, you'd most likely need to run mgetty and have it listen on the serial port where your GSM module is connected. Then you can enable the AutoPPP option in /etc/mgetty/login.config so that mgetty will launch pppd when it sees an incoming PPP connection. For outgoing connections, you can launch /usr/sbin/pppd directly from the command line. You'll also need a chat script to help set up the connection. And you'll need to set up username/password pairs in /etc/ppp/pap-secrets or /etc/ppp/chap-secrets. You can set default options for pppd in /etc/pppd/options. Take a look at the pppd man page and research the options carefully, so that you can select the right ones for your particular use case. Here's a sample pppd command line that I have use d to connect from the TS device to an external PPP server: /usr/sbin/pppd /dev/ttyS0 115200 modem crtscts -detach noipdefault user <insert_username> connect '/usr/sbin/chat -v -s -f /etc/chatscripts/pap -T <insert_phonenum>' Here's the chatscript I used: ABORT BUSY ABORT VOICE ABORT "NO CARRIER" ABORT "NO DIALTONE" ABORT "NO DIAL TONE" "" ATZ OK ATDT\T CONNECT "" I hope that helps to get you started.
