Yes I'm capturing sound using the oct102008 2.6.21-ts kernel but only
by interposing a hub between the sound card (Griffin iMic) and the ts7800.

A USB 3g wireless modem (Maxon BP3) similarly only works with a hub
interposed between it the ts7800.

This isn't a power issue - I tried powering both separately.  There is
some subtle bug in communication with these devices and interposing a
hub somehow avoids this bug.

I'm also capturing sound successfuly ona ts7800
from a custom USB sound board built using an AVR.
