I would suggest three books that I think are 100% value for $
certainly a must for those up and coming in Linux Land, without the
overhead of "old" or really "hand holding" text that others in the
market seem to aim for - Weight and not much knowledge - These books
are certainly in-depth technical knowledge on subject any and all
users will have too at some stage understand and appreciate. They also
are excellent reference books to have on standby IMHO.

"Essentail Linux Device Drivers" by Sreekrishnan Venkateswaran ISBN
0-13-239655-6 The very best on the subject I seen in the last six years.

"The Linux Programmers Toolbox" by John Fusco ISBN 0-13-219857-6
together with its companion book ...

"Embedded Linux - Primer" by
Christopher Hallinan ISBN 0-13-167984-8 cover everything in detail,
but to a level each can understand and follow.

They have saved me many times, well worth their weight in Gold!

Cheers. Grahame
