Good to see you are on top of that. Like the question fo whether
TSlinux is a "demo" or a supported product feature, there are several
confliciting statements on your site and various pdf downloads.
I think everyone would benefit if you were able to go through
rationalise everything to give the same message, whatever you decide
that should be.
I'd read somewhere in a pdf file that RTAI on TS7200 was "unfinished
and experimental" which as at odds with some of the other statements.
It seems to be the official line to ask users to contact you
directly.
That's fine but please ensure that support is effective also. I have
seen several posts here which concur with my own experience. Email
requests for support taking many days to get a first reply or being
simply ignored. That does not give a good feeling.
I'm very pleased to see that a decision seems to have been made to be
more active in support.
The peer support here on the list is great and enables us to deal
with things that TS are not expected to cover and is often a lot
quicker. That's probably why people tend to post here.
There's time though when a quick pointer from the guys who know this
inside out can save a LOT of wasted time and hence frustration.
Last week you asked me to say how I think you should advertise. All I
can suggest is to be consistant and above all accurate, I don't think
anyone expects more than that.
I don't believe there's any deliberate attempt to mislead here, but
the inconsistancies can be misleading depending on which bit you read.
Thanks for taking this on board.
best regards, Jacques.
