Thanks, the patch helps a lot! It's still not perfect, but at least two 
orders of magnitude or so more stable.

Basically, testing is done by running the echo server from 
http://murli.34sp.com/o/ep93xx-eth/echo/ (echo_udp) on the 7260 and the 
client (echoclient_udp) on a PC. The client sends requests of increasing 
length (100-60000 bytes) and stops when it doesn't receive a reply.
In parallel, network/CPU load is generated on the 7260 by running things 
like "while true; do find /; done" or "while true; do true; done" in a 
telnet session, and maybe a simple ping -f.

I thought about that, but netdev traffic seems to be almost entirely 
patches (more so than lkml). So I wasn't sure if this problem report 
would be appropriate there.
