Can anyone tell me the fastest way to turn a ts-7300 into an MP3 player?  The reason I ask is that I am a mentor for a FIRST Robotics TEAM and we want to add some short sound effect clips to our robot.

I believe these are the steps:
1. Get a kernel with soundcore hooks enabled.
2. Get ALSA
3. Connect a USB Audio Device
4. Get an integer math MP3 player like mpg321 to play the short clips
5. Write some interface code to connect the TS-7300 to the FIRST Robotics controller

Currently, I don't have the cross tools setup for compiling and need to locate a kernel with soundcore built-in.  If anyone can give me a quick 1..2..3.. I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!
-Michael
