The printer.o module is *not* a driver for the standard 8255-type parallel
port hardware. An extract of the modinfo output from the module follows.

$ /sbin/modinfo /tmp/printer.o
filename:       /tmp/printer.o
kernel_version: 2.4.26-ts11
description: USB Printer Device Class driver

It may not work for Ed while he is using a printer that doesn't have a USB
interface on it but he will need the module eventually.
