Kevin (and others),

I have taken bits of advice and gained knowledge from all of you and I
appreciate you help very much. My immediate goal is to just get this
thing to send simple ASCII data to a printer ASAP. I can work on more
elegant solutions later. To that end I have acquired a USB to
Parallel adapter cable and I'm using a Panasonic KX-P1150 dot-matrix
printer. I'm thinking (hoping) that I can just install printer.o (I'm
already installing and using all the other USB support modules) and
I'll be able to plug in the printer and write to it at lp0.

My board does use TS-Linux 2.3.26.ts11. If you (Kevin) could possibly
send me
printer.o that would save me the trouble (and learning curve) of
setting up a separate system to cross-compile the kernel. I'm under
the gun to get something going this week and I'm running out of time.
Once people around here see the machine printing (to any printer at
all) they should calm down and give me the time to work on supporting
a more "modern" printer.

Thanks again to everyone for your help!
Ed

P.S. The photo on my Yahoo profile was put there as a joke but for
some reason, since Yahoo Photos is gone I can't seem to delete it.
I'm not (quite) as dumb as I look.
