If you need an actual thermocouple rather than simple temp sensor
due to the range of temperatures required, check www.digikey.com
and search for thermocouple, click the "in stock" checkbox ...
They have analog devices and linear technology thermocouple
amplifiers and signal conditioners that are easy to work with, and
also have some thermocouples, but I can't exactly call them cheap.
