you can go from Hyperterm to GSM modem is you want to...you can write a program to do that. however what I feel is that you might have forgotten to add the return carriage at the end of AT so your program should look something like this

printf("AT\r\n");

and than look for the response.

Thanks Samuel: I am using hyper term to connect to the TS-7260. But
the TS-7260 should connect to the modem on its local COM2. Therefore,
I have to run another terminal program on the TS-7260 (I think). I
don't see a way to go directly from hyper term to the GSM Modem.
