Hi Jim -

I assume you talking about USB gadget mode? 

I can't speak for TS or Marvell, but the kernel modified by the 
folks working on the Buffalo LinkStation Pro has a config option for 
choosing between USB host or gadget mode.  There is a _long_ thread 
of issues they found during porting recent kernels:
