You can set the mac address in redboot

We found the problem. For some reason the MAC address was FF:FF...
I downloaded http://www.alobbs.com/macchanger
After resetting the MAC, it all works now.
Does anyone know what file that is stored in? I thought that MAC
would have been something retrieved from the arm chip.
