Hi All,
We just acquired the TS-7200 with a Kingston CF-512 Mb.
We have just plugged in the device a couple of times since we bought.
We are almost 80% sure that when we boot the TS-7200, it started with
the debian linux in the CF.
Yesterday, we started the serious work on the machine, but
surprisingly, when we boot the TS-7200 we noticed that it ran TS-Linux
with and without the CF. So, our initial research was to check boot
log. Then, we found the following:
hda: KINGSTON, ATA DISK drive
ide0 at 0x8d000000-0x8d000007,0x88400006 on irq 32
hda: attached ide-disk driver.
hda: task_no_data_intr: status=0x58 { DriveReady SeekComplete
DataRequest }
hda: 989856 sectors (507 MB) w/1KiB Cache, CHS=982/16/63
Partition check:
/dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0:hda: status error: status=0x58 {
DriveReady SeekComplete DataRequest }
hda: drive not ready for command
p1
It seem the system can mount the device at this time. Please help on
this!!!
Next, we tried to read the CF from Ubuntu. Everything seemed to be ok,
Linux is inside the CF. Following some recommendations, we checked the
CF with testdisk.
The application said cyilinders were wrong and they should be 32
instead of 16 (Is that correct?)
We tried to change cylinders, but it doesn't seem to work, it always
show 16.
After taking some pill for this headache, I plugged in the CF and boot
the system.
we tried to mount the CF with an instruction like this:
mount /dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part1 /mnt
voila!!
The CF was mounted in the /mnt directory and, we can see CF contents.
Finally we followed the steps in page 25 of users guide in order to
create the Linux again in the CF, but after rebooting, we get the same
message mentioned above:
hda: task_no_data_intr: status=0x58 { DriveReady SeekComplete
DataRequest }
hda: 989856 sectors (507 MB) w/1KiB Cache, CHS=982/16/63
Partition check:
/dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0:hda: status error: status=0x58 {
DriveReady SeekComplete DataRequest }
I'll appreciate any clues you can give us regarding this issue.
