You need to tell the kernel to boot the CF card instead of the onboard 
flash.

When your system boots and you see the TS-Bootrom message press 
<CTRL><C> and you will end up at a Redboot console, from there enter 
these commands.

fis load vmlinux
exec -c "console=ttyAM0,115200 root=/dev/hda1"

The system will then boot from the CF card.  To make those changes 
permanent you will want to get to the Redboot console again and type

fconfig

One of the options you can set in there will allow you to setup the boot 
script where you would put the two lines from above.
