Hi Yan,

I don't know. However, the first thing I'd try is
to find the image they use now. Its either got to
be on the ext2 partition or in the initrd area.

As for figuring out the format, ImageMagic under
Linux is pretty good about detecting formats, and
for converting a new splash screen into the
desired format.

I haven't looked at the TS initrd, however, take a look at

http://www.linux-mag.com/id/3303/

It has a pretty nice explanation of how to create/modify
one. The procedure described in the article should allow
you to uncompress the initrd to look for the splash
image to see if its there.
