Wow...what timing. This seems to be almost exactly what I need. My application 
requires counting pulses on pin 8 of the DIO1 header (bit 0 of PortF, IIRC). I 
was thinking about using a kernel module to handle the interrupts and let me 
watch the IRQ count via a /proc entry.

I'll take a closer look at the module code and the EP9302 documentation to see 
what changes I need to make to handle interrupts on the pin I need to watch.
