I've ordered a couple of TS-7400 boards which I'll receive soon.
These boards will be use! d to control a couple of small robots.
The robots have to communicate via the wifi usb dongle (an option for
this board).

Since I can't find much information about the wifi driver that already
exists for this board, i! t's hard for me to understand how I have to
write an application in C that can perform a simple task like sending
a string to the other board (and off course receiving that string on
the other end).

I think you're trying to make this more difficult than it is. WiFi allows you to setup a regular tcp/ip network (although it is wireless) so you just write tcp/ip servers and clients as appropriate, just as if they're in a ! regular ethernet tcp/ip network.
