Kevin,
The EP93XX masked rom does this when it cannot find a correct bootstrap
source.
When the EP93XX starts up, the masked-rom code scans several different
bootstrap sources (NOR flash / ROM, Synchronous rom, or SPI
rom/eepropm/flash). The TS-7250 uses a 2KiB spi eeprom to bootstrap the
system. The 2KiB eeprom must contain the characters 'CRUS' in the first
four bytes to indicate that it is a valid bootstrap source. If CRUS is
found, the spiflash is read into the ethernet buffer and executed. If
not, the chip does the green-led-flash thing forever.
Download the serial-blaster package from the TS7000 yahoo group, and
attempt to serial boot your board. You will then need to check whether
or not the 2KiB serial bootstrap flash contains the correct information
- e.g. the 'CRUS' header and the correct bootstrap code.
TS may be able to provide you with more information on how to do this
and/or correct the contents of the SPI eeprom.
Cheers,
-Brett
