If you do a md5sum on your sdcard.o and the results are
4118fe72efa55f8a811addb8b08eb27f  sdcard.o
Then the sdcard driver will not support more than 1G
If the results are
192b5815a54bbeb33a8c8bb6e994382e  sdcard.o
then it should support more than 1G

I have bought 2 TS-7400 boards on 2-28-2007 then 2 more on 3-28-2007. All came with the driver with a md5sum of 4118fe72efa55f8a811addb8b08eb27f.

The driver that supports more than 1G can be found at
ftp://ftp.embeddedarm.com/sd/sdcard.o

Only one partition. fdisk only recogized 1 gig. I bought an SD with
pre-installed OS on it from TS (invoice #34396, in case someone needs
to look it up and see if there was an error). Perhaps they sent an
older version of Linux without the correct driver installed. I put a
2G in the second slot, made two partitions from the available space
and mounted them.

Even though I'm a long time *NIX user (over 25 years) I'm completely
capable of making that kind of mistake. Thanks for the question.

fdisk reported:
Disc /dev/sdcard1/disc0/disc: 1016 MB, 1016332288 bytes
16 heads, 32 sectors/track, 3877 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 512 * 512 = 262144 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sdcard1/disc0/part1 1 1939 496368 83 Linux
/dev/sdcard1/disc0/part2 1940 3877 496128 83 Linux
